Java Developer/Programmer
Job Responsibilities:
- Reviews user requirements and provides functional and technical specifications for review.
- Analyzes and converts designs and specifications into Java and JSP program logic programming code, tests, debugs and installs enhancements and maintenance changes to Integral’s server software applications.
- Provides functional and technical documentation.
- Familiar with relational database concepts including Batch files on Windows and Bourne Shell scripts on Linux, and server operating system concepts.
- Able to install and maintain a test environment on server; create test transactions and create test bed for application to confirm program meets specifications.
- Able to make changes as needed to interfaces with other systems either mainframe or server.
- Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs.
- Trains users and/or technical support staff to use and support programs.
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
- May lead and direct the work of others.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
- 5 years programming experience
- Java, JSP HTML, CSS, Bourne Shell scripts, Windows Batch file, XML experience
- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL experience
- Windows Server and Linux experience; Unix a plus
- Word/Excel/Access/Outlook/Visio skills
- Web development experience
- CVS or other version control system experience
- Working knowledge of J2EE a plus

Senior Writer
Job Summary:
The Senior Writer is responsible for working with the project team to evaluate the product and user community in order to write and edit the appropriate documentation to best support the company’s products. This responsibility includes online and Web documentation and hard-copy reference and procedural documentation for both end users and technicians in the mainframe and Web environments. The writer is also responsible for writing occasional marketing collateral related to the documented products. The role requires a minimum of three years experience as a Senior Technical Writer, preferably in business software applications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Define and develop the appropriate documentation and media for the products. Prepare comprehensive documentation plans for review by peers, project team, management, and other interested parties.
- Research and analyze data from a variety of sources efficiently and accurately. Document explicit, as well as implicit, functions and procedures in a timely manner, usually in parallel with product development.
- Write clear, concise, and styleless documentation that is easily understood by target audiences. Edit technical procedural and reference documentation.
- Write marketing collateral, such as product cards, newsletter articles, web pages, white papers, etc.
- Contribute to and follow internal writing and format standards and procedures.
- Explain and negotiate deliverables in sessions with peers, managers, and other interested parties.
- Plan, manage, and organize activities and time in order to meet tight project deadlines.
Requirements for the Job:
- A minimum of three years experience as a Senior Technical Writer, preferably working with business applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Mastery of word-processing and desktop publishing packages, preferably Ventura Publisher and HTML. Familiarity with RoboHelp and Adobe Acrobat helpful.

Infrastructure Support Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications equipment, such as personal computers and laptops, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, circuits, modems, VPNs, and cabling.
- Establish and maintain network users, the user environment, network security and network directories.
- Perform email administration.
- Ensure optimum availability of the system to the end users and customers.
- Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software/network-related problems.
- Perform system backups and recovery.
- Respond to incoming telephone, voice-mail, email, and in-person requests for assistance from users to resolve issues with their phone, desktop/laptop, access to the network, and the operation of various software applications.
- Provide support response 24x7 as needed by responding to pages.
- Collect and analyze information about existing issues, perform diagnostic procedures to isolate the source, and provide resolution to the issue in a timely manner.
- Provide status updates to all parties involved as necessary.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of disaster recovery plans; recommend and implement network security measures to safeguard the network.
- Interact with all users and customers in a professional and patient manner and communicate technical information in a non-technical manner as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of network protocols and programming languages, operating systems and environments.
- Effectively work with vendor support specialists to resolve technical and usage issues for end users.
Qualifications:
- The candidate must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to present recommendations and ideas.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience in a Microsoft environment.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE are preferred.
- Experience with the practical application of technologies such as Windows 2003/2000 Active Directory, networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, MS Exchange, SQL server, MS Office, Backup Exec, firewalls, routers, switches, anti-virus.
- Familiarity with Unix administration a plus.
- Proven ability to manage time and work schedule to meet multiple deadlines.
- Experience in all facets of network installations to include the physical placement of conduit, cat 5 and fiber optic cable, wall jacks, patch panels, hardware, data racks and communication equipment as required.
- Ability to immediately adapt to changing requirements and conditions, showing a sense of urgency when necessary.
- Strong understanding of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Maintenance Programmer
Job Description:
Day-to-day work will include solving product problems reported by Integral clients using generally defined practices and policies. You will use the Clarify Customer Support software product to record problems and problem statuses. You will also provide design solutions for small to medium product enhancements to Integral products. You will provide documentation and packaging information for changes.
As needed, you will answer the Integral support line, recording calls, researching and providing answers to problems or questions to Integral clients. You will provide 24x7 production support on a rotation basis. You will assist staff with Change management duties, which could include using the REXX language to automate tasks.

Skills/Qualifications:
- COBOL, DB2, SPUFI, QMF, VSAM/IDCAMS, CICS, zOS JCL, ISPF/TSO, SQL Server, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CVS, Crystal reporting, Microsoft Office products.
- B.S. in Computer Science or B.B.A. Computer Emphasis or Information Technology.
- 5 to 7+ years of experience in the IT Industry. Years of experience can be substituted for degree.
- HR/Payroll system, Java and/or REXX language a plus.
- Integral’s COBOL systems are web-enabled. Knowledge of Javascript, HTML and web technology is a plus.
- Analytical problem solving skills, good customer service attitude, and being a self-starter are a must.
- Prioritizing tasks and good written and oral communication skills are important.

Job description:
Must be able to analyze current system processes and functional requirements and develop preliminary system designs. Must be able to work with clients to resolve client specific problems as well as suggest solutions that will become part of Integral standard coding. Must prepare current system documentation and future system design docs. Must be experienced with COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2. Payroll/Human Resources industry related experience desired. Some travel will be necessary.
